Realistic Case Studies You Can Apply in Practice
Move beyond abstract theory. Work through realistic accredited-laboratory scenarios involving evidence review, compliance gaps, corrective actions, and audit preparation. Each case shows how to turn ISO/IEC 17025 requirements into structured, defensible quality management practices.
Strengthen Every Evidence File Before the Assessment
Develop a structured approach to evaluating ISO/IEC 17025 evidence. Learn how to organize uncertainty and metrological-traceability records, identify weaknesses before an assessment, and demonstrate control through clear, defensible documentation.
Use AI as a Tool, Not a Substitute for Judgment
Learn how to integrate generative AI responsibly into quality workflows. Use it to accelerate routine work, strengthen evidence review, and produce outputs grounded in verifiable sources, while keeping technical decisions and professional responsibility under human control.
About the Course
Managing an ISO/IEC 17025 quality system is demanding. Laboratory teams must maintain reliable evidence, prepare for assessments, review uncertainty calculations and metrological traceability, follow up on corrective actions, and keep daily operations aligned with the standard. At the same time, they must decide where generative AI can help without weakening technical judgment, confidentiality, or confidence in the laboratory’s work. This course is designed for laboratory managers, quality managers, technical personnel, and professionals involved in audit and assessment preparation. It focuses on practical application rather than abstract compliance theory. Through realistic laboratory scenarios, you will examine quality-management evidence, prepare for audits and accreditation assessments, review uncertainty and metrological traceability records, evaluate corrective action follow-up, and explore responsible uses of generative AI. By the end of the course, you will have developed a structured and repeatable approach to managing ISO/IEC 17025 requirements, strengthening assessment readiness, and improving day-to-day quality practices. Build a quality system that is clear, defensible, and ready to withstand scrutiny.
About Your Instructor
I’m Danilo Quagliotti, PhD, a metrologist, quality engineer, and university-trained educator with nearly two decades of experience in measurement science, laboratory quality, research, and technical education. My career includes foundational roles at Italy's National Metrology Institute (INRiM), where I developed expertise in measurement uncertainty and traceability. I also spent nearly twelve years at the Technical University of Denmark mentoring students and professionals in optical microscopy, coordinate metrology, X-ray computed tomography, and industrial problem-solving. Valuable experience also came from my work as a technical assessor for DANAK, the Danish national accreditation body. Reviewing and guiding toward genuine ISO/IEC 17025 compliance revealed a critical gap: most organizations know what the standard requires, but few know how to implement it with confidence and clarity. I faced this challenge early on—the frustration of navigating complex regulations, the pressure of audit preparation, and the stakes of getting uncertainty budgets right. What changed everything was developing systematic workflows that bridge the gap between regulatory requirements and operational reality. That's why I created this course. I'm excited to share not just knowledge but a practical framework that gives your laboratory the clarity, tools, and confidence to achieve sustainable accreditation and earn the trust your stakeholders deserve.
